Workshop for Non-Profits: Marketing to Donors
The Dedham Community House is sponsoring a free workshop for nonprofit organizations entitled "Marketing to Donors." The event is free but only open to people working with nonprofit organizations. See RSVP info below...
This workshop focuses on incorporating marketing principals in reaching out to donors. Using the principals of identifying a target audience, understanding their needs and values and tailoring an organization's message to that audience are methods explored and applied to building and strengthening an organization's donor base.
This workshop covers:
- The fundamental principles of marketing
- Determining donor loyalty rate and how to get it higher
- Identifying target audiences, their needs and values
- Tailoring messages to each donor audience
- Methods for delivering messages
The workshop is offered by Executive Service Corps (ESC), a charitable nonprofit organization that provides management consulting services exclusively to other nonprofits in RI and MA, and hosted by the Dedham Community House, an 88-year-old nonprofit dedicated to advancing the educational, recreational, cultural and civic interests of residents of all ages of Dedham and surrounding communities.

Presenter: Bruce Enders, ESC Consultant
Mr. Enders joined ESC in 2005 and brings with him extensive experience in marketing, branding, strategic planning and governance. Since joining ESC, Bruce has worked with a wide range of nonprofits in education, the environment, and arts & culture. Some of Bruce's clients include the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, Zoo New England, Exploration School, Island Alliance, and the Friends of the Public Garden. In addition to his work with ESC, he has served as co-chairman of the Employee Community Fund at a major GE location, fundraiser for Metro United Way, member of the Stewardship Council of the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, member of the Board of Directors of Hill House, member of the Board of Directors of the MIT Club of Boston, volunteer marketing advisor for MIT, and volunteer advisor for The Prince's Trust (United Kingdom). During his career, Bruce was Corporate Vice President with responsibility for Worldwide Marketing for a major component of the General Electric Company for a number of years.
