Voters Will Have Choices in April Town Election

by Dave Atkins

Three vie for Moderator, Walsh and Wiggin face off for Selectman, and Charles Donahue challenges Mason and Jowdy for a spot on School Committee

The deadline for submitting nomination papers passed on Tuesday, and Westwood voters will face a number of contested races on the ballot for the April 29 Town Election. The ballot is not yet final—candidates can still withdraw or have their nominations challenged until March 27, but residents can view the election preview on the town website.

I will not endorse candidates, but I do invite anyone who is running for office—contested or not—to submit a candidate statement here. (Use the site contact form to let me know you are interested; I will follow up by email.) I am running uncontested for Housing Authority and plan to post what I've learned about affordable housing in Westwood to share information and get feedback from the community.
