Gay Street Re-paving
You may have noticed work beginning (orange paint and a couple of nasty bumps) on Gay Street between Milk and Thatcher. The town is repaving this stretch of road in the coming weeks. We discussed this at our last Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Committee meeting and were fortunate to have committee member and Town Engineer John Bertorelli and Highway Superintendent Ralph Phaneuf on hand to participate in the discussion and consider what can be done as the road is re-paved to make things a bit safer for runners and cyclists-especially in that stretch of road coming up from Milk towards Sandy Valley Road. Don't expect to see massive changes--but it's great that people are getting input into this process.
