Friends and Coworkers to Honor "Moby" Wasilunas

John “Moby” Wasilunas, a dedicated member of the Department of Public Works, passed away suddenly on January 26th while on duty for the DPW. He leaves behind his wife Patty, three sons John, Patrick and Ryan, his brother Vito, his sister Gloria and his mother Birute. Moby was a caring, terrific guy who was loved by all those who came into contact with him.
In memory of Moby, friends and coworkers will be holding a fundraising event on Saturday, March 27th at Concannon’s in Norwood beginning at 7:00pm. This event will offer guests a chance to bid in the silent auction and also raffles that will begin at 9:30pm from an unbelievable selection of prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event.
Tickets to the event can be purchased either at Town Hall, Department of Public Works at 50 Carby Street or D&G Deli in Norwood on Nahatan Street. Tickets are $25 each, which will automatically enter you in our special door prize raffle at the end of the night.
If you wish to make a financial donation in honor of Moby, please make checks payable to the Town of Westwood. All funds raised will go to Moby’s dependents in remembrance of his dedication and hard work he exhibited on behalf of the Town while employed at the DPW.
