Cool Mass, Cool Westwood

The Cool Mass Campaign seeks to empower at least 25% of the households in Westwood to reduce their carbon footprint by 25%. Information program on this three-year campaign will be presented on 9 Dec. Thu. evening 7:30 to 8:30 at DPW 50 Carby St. meeting room. You will learn how to be in this program and ways in which you can make your home more energy-efficient and reduce global warming.

The Westwood Environmental Action Committee has been activing in encouraging numerous sustainability initiatives in Westwood including this presentation. Westwood's Board of Selectmen recently proclaimed November 15 to be "Westwood America Recycles Day." This kicks off a month of activities designed to encourage greater awareness and emphasis on sustainable practices in the town.
