Adult Sports Leagues

A visitor sent me a suggestion to find out how to join any local softball, basketball, etc. leagues. I know a few people who play, but I don't know who organizes these things. Any suggestions?

There is a 30+ Mens'

There is a 30+ Mens' Basketball League organized through the Recreation Department (Mike Griffin). I I think the league starts up in the fall. It's pretty well run and the games are weekday nights at the Martha Jones School.

My wife is interested in a women's soccer league, but probably only if it was low key and in Westwood. I know Mansfield used to have an informal soccer night for adult town residents (I think it was Thursday nights for women, Wednesday nights for men) for pick-up soccer games... it'd be nice if there was something like that in Westwood.

Adult Basketball League

Hi there everyone,

Yes, I do run an Adult League (Ages 18+) from September thru March/April depending on cancelations.

We play Mondays & Wednesday at Martha Jones.

Games at 8pm and 9pm.

The league is great, competitive and you will get a good run.

Info has not released for Fall 2009 as of yet.

I encourage anyone to sign-up or get a team together.

Westwood Fall Adult Hoop League

The League starts on mid October.
We are looking to do a 12 team league
Games on Mondays & Wednesdays at 8, 9 & 10pm (Rotating schedule for teams to play at 10pm) at Martha Jones
11 games + playoffs.
Semi-finals and Finals are best 2 out of 3.
You can put a team together yourself or just sign-up to be placed on a team and I will find a spot for you.

Adult Hoop League in Westwood

The Westwood Recreation Adult Basketball will be lacing them up for another season starting October 19th.
It is open to any resident or non-resident, 18 years of age or older that want to be placed on a team or put a team together.
Games are on Monday & Wednesday nights in Westwood.
